After graduating his Pharmacy studies in his hometown Surabaya, Felix Justin decided to pursue his dream to become a professional musician by continuing his music studies in the Netherlands. He completed his Bachelor and Master of Music cum laude from Utrecht University of the Arts under the tutelage of Henry Kelder in 2014 and 2017 respectfully. During his study, he was chosen by the Erasmus Plus Programme to study at the Royal College of Music, London and Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität, Vienna. His musical development also enriched by being an active participant in masterclasses by world-renowned pianists and pedagogues such as Daniël Wayenberg, Barbara Grajewska, Elisabeth Leonskaja, John Lill, Daniel Blumenthal, Melvyn Tan, and Klára Würtz among many others.

Felix performs regularly selected Lied repertoire as a member of the Samsakta Duo he forms with the tenor Satriya Krisna (Indonesia). They won multiple awards on the International Student Lied Duo Competition in 2017. In 2015 Felix became the laureate of the Flemish Vrienden van Cultuurprijs for solo performance hosted by the city of Tilburg, the Netherlands. He had also the honor to be chosen as the only musician who would perform during the official visit of Their Royal Highness Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and Queen Mathilda from Belgium, to the city of Utrecht in 2016.

Since 2010, Felix is performing extensively within Indonesia and internationally in selected important venues such as Gedung Kesenian Jakarta (Indonesia), Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg, De Doelen (Netherlands), Kolarac Hall (Serbia), and Dutch Embassy (Japan).

His warm, friendly, and energetic character has made him a sought-after chamber musician. He collaborates regularly with singers, saxophonists, choirs, and other instrumentalists. Felix has gained the privilege to work along the outstanding musicians in the domain of Lied interpretation (Rudolf Jansen, Hans Eijsackers, Maurice Lammerts van Bueren, Jan Paul Grijpink), opera accompaniment and contemporary music.

The freedom to speak, communicate and explore the beauty of the art through piano is the biggest passion for Felix. For him piano is not only just an instrument, but also his companion with whom he can tell his stories and share them with the people all around the world. Apart from that, he is also very enthusiastic about guiding young musicians to the path of enjoyment in music and committed to the development of their talents based on their unique personality. Currently Felix is repetiteur in Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht , Stichting Muziektalent Almere and piano teacher in CKV Almere.
